Sometime on Friday afternoon, I'll thumb through a copy of Two Sides of a Cypress Wall for the first time. Though I am on the cusp of a terrific milestone, this thought has not left me all tingly inside. Rather, the glee has been kept in check by other weighty tasks needing finish: nailing down launch party details, following up with people who haven't RSVP'd, addressing mailers, writing thank you notes, and stirring up buzz to name a few. Rest assured, I'll relax and relish with family and friends on Saturday as we toast Cypress Walls, but shortly thereafter, I'll morph into all-out hustle mode. Why? Because the introductory 0% APR my friends at CHASE extended me expires in March and I have 932 more copies to move. Thanks to Jake Tollefson and Bill "Jose" Lewis for being my latest customers.
If you are in Memphis this weekend and would like to join the fun, please drop me a line. Showing up will get you a burger, a beer, some potato chips, a snort of whiskey, a slice of birthday cake and a picture with me in my seersucker suit.
I have a special spot on my bookshelf all picked out for this one.
Can't wait for it to arrive!
